In January, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Roger and Peggy Madigan Library on the campus of Pennsylvania

Gene Landon, a constituent from the 23rd Senatorial District, was contacted by the Providence Forum, a Bryn Mawr

non-profit, which purchased wood salvaged from the last Maryland Liberty Tree. The group contracted Mr. Landon, who teaches classes at Naylor's Olde Mill Cabinet Shoppe on Camp Betty Washington Road in York Township, to sculpt the piece of tree trunk into a bald eagle for display in Constitution Hall in Philadelphia. The eagle is temporally being housed at the State Museum.
